Anna Whittemore is a multifaceted textile designer, stylist, and apparel designer. With social consciousness and environmental sustainability on the forefront of her mind, she uses sustainable practices such as natural dye to create texture and depth. She also designs prints and patterns for textiles digitally, creates hand-drawn illustrations and motifs, and screen prints. In 2014 she moved to Savannah, GA to earn her BFA in Fibers at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Growing up in both Boston and New Hampshire, Anna’s work is reflective of her juxtaposed upbringing: urban landscapes versus the woods, trees versus skyscrapers, riding horseback versus the Boston subway. She draws inspiration from human experience in relationship with nature. She is inspired by the smell of crunchy autumn leaves, the sound of a crackling intercom on the subway, the vibrant color of Indian paintbrushes in August, and the call of loons on a summer night. She creates work by hand, often with themes of nostalgia.

Through styling, Anna curates cohesive looks for photo shoots, ad campaigns, and fashion films. She is passionate about styling looks, sourcing of props, and scouting locations as she draws inspiration from the world around her. With an eye for detail and aesthetic, Anna strives to tell a story and create beauty in everything that she designs.
